Employees of several Holland Casino branches strike

Last Monday, employees of Holland Casino Enschede, Groningen and Leeuwarden organized a strike that lasted all day. Since April 14, they’ve been protesting against the policy of Holland Casino and their working conditions. It’s probably not the last time that the casino employees put down their work.
The Holland Casino branches closed their doors because the company said that because of the strike safety could not be guaranteed. In total there have been nine strikes from more than 600 employees, who are working at 12 branches of Holland Casino.
The employees of Holland Casino demand a collective agreement that offers certainty about their work and income. This agreement applies to 3000 employees working in one of the 14 branches of Holland Casino in the Netherlands.
The Dutch unions FNV, De Unie and Vakbond ABC already have reacted to the strikes. They hope that Holland Casino will finally listed to its employees. However, the opposite is happening, according to the unions. The management of Holland Casino is still not listening, they say. Obviously, Holland Casino regrets that the strikes have been taken place. The management hopes that the problems will be solved soon.
