Perhaps you’ve heard of skill-based gaming already. It means that people can influence the outcome of a game by taking certain actions, like answering questions in a quiz. In 2016 the immensely popular Caesars casino introduced skill-based gaming in several of its branches. However, it was not a big success. Recently the casino announced that it will no longer offer skill-based gaming.
Caesars placed more than 20 slots in its branches in Atlantic City. It choose a game called Danger Area. Visitors needed to shoot as much robots as possible. How more robots went down, how more money they got. The skill-based game gave people the possibility to influence games, but apparently they didn’t like it. This the reason why Caesars will no longer offer skill-based gaming.
Many visitors of Caesars are a bit older than average. The casino wants to attract young people, for example by offering skill-based game. However, after one year these so-called ‘millennials’ still prefer to play games at home. This is why online casinos are incredibly popular. So in the near future, Caesars should try something else instead of skill-based gaming to attract young visitors.
